Meta Quest Spec is ready for Mixed Reality
The device aims to establish itself in the business environment as well.
Mixed Reality is an important component, which Microsoft already wants to claim as an important market with the HoloLens.
The spec of the Meta Quest Pro adds a lot more hardware to its predecessor, the Quest 2.
The Snapdragon XR2 processor from Qualcomm has 50% more performance.
The performance of the hardware is a killer criterion for the success of the Metaverse, as I showed in this article.
Outlook
Meta still won’t be where we need to be with the new model, but it will be a step in the right direction. Eye and face tracking, for example, will open up completely new possibilities.
At least technically. But for a true breakthrough, I still lack absolutely convincing use cases, especially in the business environment.
What would be your top business cases for Mixed Reality that you would like to see realized?
Side Notes: Since a Facebook account is mandatory for use, competition regulators in Germany prohibit sales.
